The Wells Sports Foundation

The Wells Sports Foundation, a unique sporting charity created and funded by Barrie Wells, is offering grants of between £500 and £2,000 to sports clubs to support sustainable grassroots projects.

Funding is available for clubs that need equipment that is specially focused on increasing participation; CRBs for volunteers; coaching qualifications; refereeing/umpiring courses. To be eligible to apply for funding projects must support the development of grassroots sport for young people between the ages of 5 and 18; clubs must have achieved Clubmark status, have at least one partnership agreement with a local state school, have raised at least 50% of the required funds for the overall project, and total project costs must not exceed £5,000.
