Where do I go to find out more about sport and physical activity taking place in the City?
Information on a variety of activities and clubs/groups can be found under the Directory section of the website.

What sporting events are taking place in the City?
A list of events taking place in the City can be found under the Events/What's On section. If you have a sporting event that you would like to add to the page, please email information to sports.leisure@sunderland.gov.uk

How can I promote my activity/sport via the Directory you have on the website?
You can download a form, fill it in and return it to sports.leisure@sunderland.gov.uk 

I want to set up my own club/group.  Where can I go for funding?
Please contact Sport & Leisure on 561 4590/91 or email sports.leisure@sunderland.gov.uk for information on funding you may be eligible/able to apply for.

You could also visit www.open4community.info where you can search for funding from government, lottery and charitable trusts to suit your own organisation needs.

I am interested in qualifying to become a coach.  Are there any courses that would be relevant for me?
Information on coaching courses currently available in the area are viewable via the Tyne & Wear Sport website.  http://www.tynewearsport.org/ted
