Lets Dive at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre

With the arrival of a new Diving Coach at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre, the diving programme has been expanded. This has created more space for children to enter the exciting sport of springboard and platform diving.

If your child would like to try out for diving, there will be a series of taster sessions running throughout May and June on Saturdays. The first session will take place on 8th May with further sessions on 15th and 22nd of May, 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th June. Places are limited to 10 per session. To book your child onto a taster session, they should be 6yrs - 15yrs old, confident in deep water and able to swim 25m and not have had diving lessons in the past.

If your child has tried diving in the past and would like to re-start on the scheme then email Steve.Pattinson@sunderland.gov.uk and he will advise at what level your child should enter the diving scheme.
