The Dickie Bird Foundation


The Dickie Bird Foundation offers grants to individuals under 18 years of age to help them participate in their chosen sport. 
Grants towards the cost of clothing, equipment and travel expenses within the UK are made to disadvantaged, underprivileged children. 

Are your child/children disadvantaged due to your financial situation?

Unable to afford the clothing or equipment they need to take part in sport?

Are they unable to continue in the sport of their choice?

The Dickie Bird Foundation may be able to help.

Set up by Harold Dennis 'Dickie' Bird in 2004 the foundation offers funding to support young people remain in sport. 

There is no set amount for which you can apply however most grants are for under £500.
