AAASports
AAASports comprises of AAA Trampoline and DMT Club and AAA Cheerleading Club. Established in 2007 AAASports have gone from strength to strength winning the North of England Gymnastics award for "Development Club of the Year 2008" and gaining Gym Mark a mere 2 months after opening!
AAA Trampoline & DMT Club is a member of the British Amateur Gymnastics Association (BG) and the North Eastern Gymnastics Association (NEGA) and is designed to offer both children and adults a chance to take part in the exhilarating sport of Trampoline Gymnastics.
They are proud to be one of the few clubs in the country to offer both Trampolining and DMT, as well as being able to offer Cheerleading. AAA provide sessions suitable for all ages and abilities, as well as offering opportunities to compete in competitions both locally and nationally.
All sessions are run by highly qualified and experienced coaches, all of whom share a passion for the sport and aim to provide the best quality sessions every time. They also have new and aspiring coaches who work alongside the more experienced coaches to provide support and extra tuition to our participants. In fact AAA recently took advantage of Sport England's Recruit Into Coaching programme and put four people through their Level 1 coaching award. Andi from AAA said:
"Recruit into Coaching has been such a massive help to my club. We've managed to secure funding for one of our coaches to get their Level 1 Trampoline award and three coaches on their Cheerleading award as well as the Stunting Cheerleading award. This has allowed me to expand the club's activity offering trampolining and cheerleading to kids who previously had no provision - fantastic!"
He adds:
"Since AAA began in 2007 it has been non stop for us. From gaining gym mark to winning Development Club of the Year we have been very successful so far. This year we hope to have a British Champion as three of our trampoline squad have won a place at the British Championships 2010. This year we are also expanding the club into the Seaburn Centre and offering recreational sessions at Lambton Street Youth Centre. In the future we hope to provide opportunity to take part in cheerleading or trampolining in venues all across the City."
